Course Closed Due to Snowcover

As of Sunday, March 7, the golf course is closed, but the snow is melting very quickly thanks to the last couple of days of warmer weather and sunshine!

There is a chance the course will be open for play on Monday, March 8. Stay tuned to this website for updates.

During periods of snowcover golf course and practice facilities are closed, the Pro Shop is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. The clubhouse and all golf facilities are closed on weekends.

Locust Hill Golf Course invites you to historic Charles Town, West Virginia for 18 holes of phenomenal golf. Rated #5 by Golfweek Magazine in West Virginia for best public access courses, daily fee and resorts and given a 4 Star Rating by Golf Digest Magazine 2000-2001, 2002-2003 and 2008-2009 editions.

We´re just over a beautiful hour´s drive from the Baltimore and Washington beltways, and just a half hour from Winchester, or Leesburg, Virginia, and Hagerstown or Frederick, Maryland. Call ahead and reserve a tee time. You´ll be able to drive here, play a memorable round of golf, and drive home in less time than it takes to play 18 holes on many of the public facilities in the metropolitan areas.

Four sets of tees on every hole offer golfing at its best for all levels of skill. Whichever tee you choose, challenges abound across the 35 acres of lakes, ponds, and streams, which come into play on 11 of the 18 holes.

Challenges, such as numerous sand bunkers and deceiving undulating greens, all amidst what we have purposely left, that which nature and time have provided: scenery and natural beauty seldom found anywhere.

As you´ll see as you tour our site, we´re very proud of LOCUST HILL GOLF COURSE, and we know you´ll enjoy a great game of golf here. But almost upstaging our beautiful and challenging golf course is its enviroment. The Blue Ridge Mountains form a breathtaking backdrop to Locust Hill Golf Course. These tree covered mountains are actually first experienced as wonderfully rolling hills as you approach Locust Hill from any direction. The Blue Ridge Mountains have a mystique all their own. On even the clearest of days you´ll notice the bluish-gray haze along their tops. Folklore has it, that this is residual from the blue and gray of the Civil War.
